A survey was conducted among 2,000 general aviation aircraft owners selected on an nth-name basis from the FAA Registry. The purpose of the study was to determine brand awareness of Michelin and competitive tires as well as learning about factors pilots consider important when purchasing tires for their aircraft. Questions about publication readership were also included.

The purpose of the survey was to determine current levels of training activity, to analyze the instructor-to-student ratio and to determine the type of aircraft being used and annual hours devoted to flight training.
