AOPA Pilot is the voice of general aviation. As the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association's most essential tool for communicating to its membership, the magazine presents engaging, informative, and entertaining stories on aircraft, pilots, operating techniques, safety, equipment, destinations, and other topics relevant to a diverse group of general aviation pilots and aircraft owners. The magazine conveys to its readers the essence of everything it means to be a pilot. It updates members on the association's important advocacy work regarding airspace, airports, and other important regulatory and legislative matters.

Readers often say that AOPA Pilot defines them—they see themselves in our pages. Whether new pilots or highly experienced, flying light singles or business jets, pilots of all types and skill levels feel a sense of ownership toward our magazine. Ours is a magazine they relate to and share with others in this alliance we call general aviation. Readers understand that we are more than just a magazine. With AOPA behind us we truly are the voice of general aviation.
