Minimum ads accepted: 1 inch. Ads less than 1/6 page must be in even units with 2 1/4-inch maximum width. Ads 1/6 page and larger must be standard units only. Bleed plate size: 8 3/8 x 11 1/4 inches. Trim size 8 1/8 x 10 7/8 inches. Safety margin: Live matter should
be kept 1/4 inch from trim. Page is three columns wide; each column is 2 1/4 inches wide by 10 inches deep.
Electronic File Specifications
* Macintosh-compatible files must include all fonts, elements and CMYK converted links necessary for placement. Please include screen and printer fonts. Do not apply style attributes to basic fonts or use True Type fonts.
* Pantone/Spot colors must be converted to process CMYK.
* All images must be at least 300dpi. Bitmap TIFFs should be at a resolution of 1200dpi or higher.
* Acceptable File Formats include Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, EPS, InDesign or PDF files. Embed all fonts and images in EPS and PDF files. Flatten all layers within images.
* PDF files must be created as PDF/X-1a files.

* Proofs: Supply a SWOP certified proof - Kodak Approvals are preferred.

General Conditions
a. Advertisements are accepted upon the representation that advertiser and its agency have the right to publish the contents thereof. In consideration of such publication, advertiser and its agency agree to indemnify and hold harmless against any expense or loss by reason of any claims arising out of publication.
b. Conditions, other than rates, are subject to change by publisher without notice.
c. All contents of advertisements are subject to publisher's approval. Publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement, insertion order, space reservation, or position commitment at
any time.
d. Positioning of advertisements is at the discretion of the publisher.
e. Publisher shall have no liability for errors in key numbers or advertisers' index.
f. Advertisements not received by our advertising production department by closing date will not be entitled to the privilege of approval or revision by the advertiser or its agency.
g. Cancellations or changes in orders may not be made by the advertiser or its agency after the closing date.
h. All insertion orders are accepted subject to provisions of the current rate card. Rates are subject to change upon notice from the publisher. Should a change in rates be made, space reserved may be cancelled by the advertiser or its agency at the time the change becomes effective without incurring short-rate charges, provided the advertisements published to the date of cancellation are consistent with the appropriate frequency or volume rate.
i. Publisher shall not be liable for any costs or damages if for any reason it fails to publish an advertisement.
j. Publisher shall have the right to hold advertiser and/or its agency jointly and severally liable for such monies as are due and payable to the publisher for advertising, which advertiser and/or its agent ordered and which advertising was published.
k. No conditions other than those set forth in this rate card shall be binding on the publisher unless specifically agreed to in writing by the publisher. Publisher will not be bound by conditions printed or appearing on order blanks or copy instructions which conflict with provisions of this rate card.
l. Publisher is not liable for delays in delivery and/or non-delivery in the event of an act of God, action by any government or quasi-governmental entity, fire, flood, insurrection, riot, explosion, embargo, strikes whether legal or illegal, labor or material shortages, transportation interruption of any kind, work slowdown, or any condition beyond the control of publisher affecting production or delivery in any manner.
Issuance and Closing Dates
Published monthly. Issued last week of preceding month. Material for ads created by publication are due the tenth day of the second preceding month; complete ad material and insertion orders are due the fifteenth day of the second preceding month. Covers, inserts, and four-color pages with progressive proofs are due the fifteenth day of the second preceding month. Cancellations are positively not accepted after the closing date. No copy change will be accepted after forms are closed. All copy is subject to publisher's approval.
Classified Advertising & Mailing Instructions
Rates are $5.50 per word for AOPA members; $8.85 for nonmembers. A minimum of 10 words is required for ads. Prepayment discounts are as follows: 5% for six months, 10% for 12 months. Prepayment in full is required for all discounts. Credit cards are accepted as method of payment. The ad insertion deadlines for display advertisements also apply to classified ads.
